UAR sappers began demining the lands of the "VIOL-PLUS" FG in the Snihurivska community in the Mykolaiv region

The work is being carried out on behalf of the Humanitarian Demining Center .

Sappers of the Ukrainian Mine Action Agency began work on a 207.69-hectare site, which in 2022 suffered severe consequences from occupation and hostilities.

Snihurivka was under occupation from March 19 to November 10, 2022. The entire Snihurivka district was occupied by Russian troops, and a significant part of its territory, including agricultural land, was densely mined.

Even after liberation, the area remained dangerous due to the high density of mines and unexploded ordnance, which effectively made it impossible to safely use it for agricultural production and other activities.

The Ukrainian Mine Action Agency is giving these lands a chance for recovery by conducting technical surveys and neutralizing discovered explosive devices.
