UAR at the Mine Action Cluster strategic meeting in Kyiv

The Ukrainian Mine Action Agency team joined the regular meeting of the Mine Action Cluster / AoR, organized by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine jointly with UNDP.

This platform is not just a meeting: decisions are formed here that determine the direction of mine action in Ukraine:

• Strategic decisions and priorities are agreed upon at the state level

• The actions of government agencies, PMD operators and international partners are synchronized

• The voice of practitioners working in the field reaches management decisions

Key results:

• a working group was created to develop an environmental standard

• Representatives elected to the Coordination Council

• The launch of operator certification via the "Diya" portal was presented - an application can be submitted online using the CEP

The event brought together over 150 participants — 90 offline and 60 online. Among them: representatives of ministries, the State Emergency Service, the Accounting Chamber, international organizations (UNDP, UNEP, Humanity & Inclusion), and PMD operators.

Our presence in this format means that the UAR participates in policy formation, coordinates resources, and influences decisions.
