The event brought together representatives of government agencies, international financial institutions, and humanitarian demining operators to discuss one of the key topics in the industry — access to funding in the field of humanitarian demining .

This issue is of strategic importance for the demining sector. Every day, Ukrainian sappers bring the land back to life, but scaling this process requires not only technical capacity, but also access to modern financial instruments, the trust of banks, and the development of partnerships with investors.

The discussion focused on the possibilities of supporting small and medium-sized businesses, attracting investments, technical support for the industry, training qualified specialists, insurance and certification. Special attention was paid to the analysis of barriers that hinder the development of the sector and finding ways to overcome them through interaction between banking institutions, international partners and operators.

The event was held in a constructive atmosphere and demonstrated the willingness of participants to work together to create a stable financial ecosystem in the field of humanitarian demining.

The Ukrainian Mine Action Agency expresses its gratitude to the EBRD , the Humanitarian Demining Center and the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine for organizing the meeting and supporting the development of the industry.

Such measures are an important step towards creating a system in which demining will become an integral part of Ukraine's economic recovery .
